Air Pressure Sensor Kit KRP1693 is engineered for the 1506, 2206, 2506 and 2806 series turbocharged diesel engines that evolved directly from the T4.236 and AT4.236 4.0 L platform, and continues to power agricultural tractors, combine harvesters, generator sets and industrial machinery worldwide. The kit provides manifold absolute pressure feedback essential for fuel-injection timing, turbocharger wastegate control and emissions compliance in both on- and off-highway applications.

The sensor employs a piezo-resistive silicon MEMS element measuring absolute pressure from 0 kPa to 400 kPa (0–58 psi), delivering a linear 0.5–4.5 V analogue signal referenced to a 5 V supply. Accuracy is ±1.5 % full scale across a media temperature span of –40 °C to 140 °C, response time <1 ms, and an integral temperature-compensation network eliminates drift caused by under-hood heat.
Material & performance features:
The sensor housing is precision-machined from corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy 6061-T6 and hard-anodised for additional protection against road salt and chemical contaminants. The sensing element is isolated from the media by a fluorosilicone diaphragm bonded with high-temperature epoxy, ensuring compatibility with turbocharged intake air, exhaust-gas recirculation and crankcase ventilation gases.
